The Department of Justice (DoJ) announced today that two officers of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) and two criminal hackers will be charged with the massive hack of Yahoo in 2014. The two hackers were reportedly hired by the Russians.

The FSB sought "information for intelligence purposes, targeting journalists, dissidents, and U.S. government officials," but the spy agency allowed its officials and the hackers to use the email caches for personal financial gain.
