Nvidia has partnered with several custom PC builders and router manufacturers to develop GameStream-ready certified PCs and Wi-Fi routers optimized for its game streaming service. Partners that will build PCs capable of using GameStream to stream PC games to Nvidia Shield devices include CyberPowerPC, Digital Storm, Falcon Northwest, iBuyPower, Maingear, Origin PC and V3 Gaming. These computers will include an Nvidia graphics card and the Nvidia GeForce Experience software. The company will also work on certifying a variety of dual-band and wireless-AC routers from brands like, Buffalo, Netgear, D-Link, and Asus. Following is the list of GameStream-Ready Wi-Fi routers:

  • ASUS RT-AC66U
  • ASUS RT-AC68U
  • Asus RT-N56U
  • Asus RT-N66U
  • Buffalo AirStation Extreme AC 1750
  • Buffalo AirStation Extreme AC 1200
  • D-Link DIR-860L AC1200
  • D-Link DGL-5500 AC1300
  • Netgear Nighthawk R700
  • Netgear R6300
  • Netgear R6250
  • Netgear WNDR4500

Compatible routers will also support streaming from the cloud, via NVIDIA's alternative GRID service, although users will need a steady 10Mbps broadband connection before you even think about trying that. GameStream currently allows players to stream compatible games from their PC over Wi-Fi to the Android-based Nvidia Shield handheld gaming system, allowing remote play of PC games from anywhere in the house.
