Securifi, the company that delivered the world's first touch-screen router, Almond, today unveiled Almond+, a color touch-screen router with an integrated Smart Home hub.

The router portion of Almond+ is 802.11ac dual band wireless, while the smart hub provides home automation. With the Smart Hub and supported appliances and technologies, users can remotely perform home-management tasks such as turning on or off heating systems and lights, or receive notification of potential security breaches such as someone opening a window or door.

Almond+ is up to 4 times faster than a typical Wireless N Router, providing wireless speeds of up to 1170Mbps. And it has enough power to cover a 5,000 square foot home. Its dual band coverage is perfect for on-line gaming and simultaneous HD video streams.

Almond+ features plug-n-play connectivity, a 2.8-inch, 320-by-240-pixel color touch screen for easy, computer-free setup, and the Smart Hub integrates with Zigbee and Z-Wave technologies. An app for both iOS and Android lets users access and control the Almond+ from anywhere.
