Sprint will reportedly enter prepaid business itself2013-01-03 09:15 by DanielaTags: Sprint
Sprint is reportedly launching an internally controlled and branded prepaid service option under the name "Sprint As You Go" on the 25th of this month. The "Sprint as you go" service will launch with a limited selection of four handsets. LG's Optimus Elite, and the Samsung Victory make up the "higher" end of the offerings, costing $149 and $249 respectively. There are two feature phones available too: Samsung's M400 ($50) and Array ($79) models. Like the core contract option, these plans appear to have access to unlimited data, although there are more roaming restrictions. Its Virgin and Boost services offer more attractive rates, but will limit speeds once a user hits a certain threshold. As far as coverage is concerned, voice coverage will consist of native and roaming voice coverage, while data access and coverage will consist of EV-DO while on Sprint's network and 1x roaming data. No EV-DO roaming will be made available and account management will also be handled differently. Read more -here-
