Mozilla has released version 10 of its Firefox browser with built-in developer tools, a new application programming interface (API) for full-screen applications, and enhanced support for 3D graphics via the WebGL standard. Mozilla said Full-Screen API enables developers to create full screen games, immersive video experiences and rich presentation sharing.

Firefox 10, available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android, includes eight security fixes, but the most noticeable change in upgrading is the way the browser handles add-on software. According to Mozilla, most add- ons will now work by default (after the changes made by Firefox 8), rather than having to be reloaded to suit the new version.

Also, the new release includes an enhanced version of Firefox Sync that offers an easier setup process enabling users to pair an Android phone, tablet, or any Firefox-enabled device without needing to be at their desktop computer.
