This product is both Magic & Amazing. I live in Suva, Fiji Islands. I currently have an ADSL broadband connection 128/64, capped at 750MB and it throttles down to 32k/32K once the cap is reached. Last week I was downloading a rapidshare file at around 6 to 8kbs. Very slow and pathetic. Now even before I reached this month's speed limit I was downloading from between 10kbs to sometimes 15kbs.
3/23/07 Now last night I was searching the internet for something to make my link faster when I stumbled upon the TCP/IP Optimizer. I was a bit hesitant at first cause I thought it was another scam software loaded with spyware/adwire. Now before I installed this software I backed up my PC registry. Then when I installed this software I made sure that it backed up the registry again before I clicked on the Optimize button. Then I restarted my PC. After that I downloaded a 50MB file from rapidshare. What a surprise I saw the downloading speed hovering at 15 to 18kbs; considering it was peak hour at around 8.30PM and that I had reached my download cap. Now excited, I downloaded a few more files till about 3AM when I went to bed. I noticed that around 1AM when hardly anybody's using the internet, the speed started ramping up to 30's to 40's kbs. I downloaded a 110MB rapidhshare file in less than 1 hour. 3/24/07 This morning I woke up again at 7.30AM and started downloading some more files again. I noticed that the download speed was hovering around the 40s to 50s kbs mark. At one time, I noticed it went above the 60kbs mark. An hour later at 8.30AM, I am still downloading at the 30's to 40's kbs mark. I just finished downloading a 25MB file in less than 20 minutes. Amazing indeed !!! This software rocks! It works ! It goes way beyond what the creators promised, 200%, 300%, 400%, 500%, etc. Thanks Guys @ SpeedGuide.
Hi
Sorry but I do not think all the above comments imply for me. I have followed the guide as it is described step by step but it does not seem to work for me. No changes in the speed. I use a cable 512kb and all the d/l speed I get is max between 1.05kb to 10kb. No firewalls on. Windows XP. Using Flashget, Utorrent or Bitcomet. Yes I would like to admit that the pages do get loaded faster than earlier. Kindly advice on speeding up downloads My email : pinochhiowb@yahoo.co.in Thanks Warm regards aCe_vEnTuRa2
MACs are based on BSD, and the TCP/IP stack is almost identical to Linux.. Look through our Linux tweaks, they should work: https://www.speedguide.net/articles/linux-broadband-tweaks-121
